What it is made of

Not copied from a table. Each row is the standard the instrument named beside it actually prescribed, and the fine metal weight is derived from that standard rather than looked up. Where a column says "not stated", the instrument does not state it and we will not supply a number it does not carry.

A variety is a claim about a coin, and claims differ in how well they are evidenced. The grade beside each says what kind of source stands behind it. This catalogue prints no valuations, so nothing here tells you what a variety is worth.
